MBHA - Miami Beach Housing Authority Florida Section 8 or Section Eight Office

Housing Authority of the City of Miami Beach provides low income families or elderly living in Miami Beach, Florida, government subsidized housing or apartments. This program called Section 8 or in Spanish, Plan Ocho, is a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development HUD program that distributes your income tax dollars to the local housing authorities found in major metropolitan areas like Miami Beach, Florida.

The office is located near the southern point of Miami Beach along the inter-coastal. Miami Beach Marina is right next door and there is currently a fair amount of public parking. Bring money for the parking meters.

Rumor has it that the Miami Beach Section 8 office will be opening the waiting list soon but was told to keep checking monthly as to when the exact date will be for adding names to the Plan Ocho waiting list. By placing your name onto the list, your name will be eligible for the Section 8 Voucher Lottery to be held at a future date.
